Sebastian Mikolajczak

Sebastian Mikolajczak graduated from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Poland, where he studied Fine Arts and attained a diploma in Sculpture as well as a Fine Arts PhD. His works can be found in museum collections both in Poland and abroad. He has presented them at numerous exhibitions, in Poland and abroad. He is a member of the International Art Medal Federation (FIDEM).

Sebastian Mikolajczak is the winner of various awards and distinctions in medallic art and coin design. His greatest achievements in the field of coin design:

  • The 2016 COTY (Coin of the Year) award, which I received for the silver, 10 zloty Jan Karski coin issued by the Polish National Bank. In this prestigious numismatic contest this coin garnered the title of the world’s most inspiring coin.
  • The 10 zloty collector’s coin The Great Polish Economists– Nicolaus Copernicus, issued by the National Bank of Poland takes first place in the international competition “Coin Constellation – 2018” in the category “Coin Classic,” Moscow, Russia.
  • Decorated as Medallist Honoris Causa for special merits in the field of medallic art, granted by Professor Bogomil Nikolov from the National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria. Canada FIDEM Art Medal Congress and Medal Exhibition 2018 Ottawa, Canada.
