Glapiński alias Klinga, a military eagle, a white-andred
flag with the symbol of Fighting Poland and the
inscription: “Zachowali się jak trzeba” (They acted
as they should).

Henryk Glapiński was born on 28 December 1915 in
Częstochowa. In 1937, he graduated from the Feliks
Fabiani Gymnasium in Radomsko. He was a member
of the Gymnastic Society “Sokół”. In the years
1937–1939, he served in the military, initially at
the military academy of the 27th Infantry Regiment
in Częstochowa, and from 1938 in Komorów. Before
the outbreak of World War II, he was transferred to
the 77th Infantry Regiment in Lida.
In September 1939, he was promoted to the rank of
Second Lieutenant. From October 1939 to May 1940,
he was in Lwów and then returned to Radomsko.
At the turn of 1941 and 1942, he joined the Home Army
and became a platoon commander. In the second
half of 1942, Glapiński was appointed as the head
